The Council of Foreign Ministers of the Turkic States Organization met prior to the 10th Summit of the Council of Heads of State in the capital city of Kazakhstan, Astana.The meeting, hosted by Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Murat Nurtileu, took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The participants included Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov, Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Minister Ceenbek Kulubayev, Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bahtiyar Saidov, and the Secretary-General of the Turkic States Organization, Kubanchbek Omuraliev.Berdi Matiyev, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan, which has observer status in the organization, and Peter Szijjarto, the Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister of Hungary, also attended the meeting.During his speech, Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtileu announced that the leaders' acceptance of the Astana Charter and Astana Declaration marked the beginning of a new era for the Turkic States Organization (TSO).Nurtileu stated, "These milestone documents reaffirm our leaders' shared vision for a brighter future based on the common history, language, culture, traditions, and values of the Turkic peoples."Nurtileu further disclosed that during the Astana Summit, observer status would be granted to the Economic Cooperation Organization within the TSO, which would contribute to the organization's institutional strengthening. He emphasized that the Astana Summit was held under the slogan "The Turkic Era" and announced that they would assume the TSO chairmanship during this summit.
